Vivint Solar announced today that we are rolling out a sales presence in more than 200 Home Depot stores across eight states. This major expansion to our traditional direct-to-home sales model by going in-store at the world’s largest home improvement specialty retailer broadens our distribution channels as part of our long-term growth strategy. By the end of June this year, Vivint Solar will deploy solar representatives to 206 stores, making it even easier for homeowners to access information as you consider solar energy options for your home.

As our CEO David Bywater puts it, “Millions of shoppers visit The Home Depot actively seeking ways to improve their homes, and Vivint Solar does just that through simple and affordable home power solutions. As solar gains consumer attention, our in-store team is there to provide helpful guidance and assist shoppers hoping to learn if their home is a good solar candidate and see how much they could save on utilities.”

Our representatives will be in The Home Depot stores throughout Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New Hampshire, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Utah and Virginia, serving as the retailer’s exclusive residential solar vendor in those states, and shoppers in those locations can get Vivint Solar information from Home Depot store representatives beginning today and at www.homedepot.com/vivintsolar.

The Home Depot collaboration marks our first entry into widespread brick-and-mortar retailing, after building our successful solar sales model primarily through direct-to-home sales and via a specialty tele-sales team.
